Oh Noes: Borderlands PC Edition Delayed

2K Games has announced a very slight delay to Gearbox’s upcoming game with a “bazillion” guns. The PC edition of Borderlands is getting kicked back from its previous release date alongside the console editions, October 20, to the end of October. The 360 and PS3 versions will still come out on schedule. The PC version will now follow on October 26, oddly, a Monday release.
When queried for a reason 2K Games gave the best possible excuse, “We’re optimizing the PC version which takes a few days longer than expected.” Surely no gamer could complain about a title receiving additional optimization.
I was lucky enough to play the game during this past PAX – before I got the flu – and will be throwing a preview up on GGN in the coming weeks. As a precursor, the trailer Gearbox cut a few weeks ago was not flattering.
Borderlands, the game with some of the best boxart ever, will be released in late October.
