Back From BlizzCon

High Five!

Wow, was that ever a busy trip.  I spent 14 hours in the Anaheim convention center on Friday and Saturday, only to tack on another two for daily writing.  Since I’ve been home I’ve been writing about BlizzCon non-stop over on ProjectLore, and that should continue through the end of the week.  We’ve got some great coverage, including pics, editorials and videos, so be sure to check it out.

If you aren’t an MMO gamer don’t fret, I got you covered.  I’ll be writing up a pair of previews, StarCraft II and Diablo 3, for TheGameReviews.com as soon as possible.  Ahead of those will be an interview with Dustin Browder, Lead Game Designer of StarCraft II.

Not a fan of Blizzard’s products?  Then perhaps my review of Gears of War 2′s latest DLC will perk your interest.  Here’s a taste:

Upon selecting Deleted Scene, players are greeted with an entire screen of CliffyB. His head is enormous; perhaps it’s his ego filling the camera, but I digress. CliffyB’s introduction sets the stage as players return to the Locust underground in search of the Queen. Upon loading the unnamed chapter (simply referred to as Deleted Scene), my team was greeted with a choice, go in guns blazing or take a touted stealth route. The ability to choose, though linear in outcome, broke Gears tradition by having both players follow the same route.

In other news, I am now the Editor In Chief of Gamer Grenade News (still being designed).  Hopefully I can get the site to return to its former glory in no time flat.
